Wuxin Copper Sets New Record with Monthly Anode Output Surpassing 20,000 Tons
Recently, Wuxin Copper’s Smelting Workshop reported a major production milestone — monthly anode output has surpassed 20,000 tons for the first time, exceeding the planned target by 4.46%. This achievement marks a new all-time high in the company’s history and represents a significant breakthrough in production capacity, technological innovation, and lean management.
On the technical front, the smelting workshop has ensured stable operation of its Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) system, effectively eliminating the long-standing “oxygen bottleneck” in production. The successful implementation of the “Three Highs” production model — high iron-silicon ratio, high oxygen enrichment, and high-grade matte — has notably improved the grade of blister copper. In addition, by advancing raw material optimization projects such as replacing high-sulfur ore with sulfur concentrates, the workshop has significantly enhanced slag and concentrate processing capabilities, laying a solid foundation for sustained and stable output.
In terms of cost control and energy efficiency, the workshop has promoted the “shallow oxidation” operation method and refined the use of reducing agents, achieving a dual improvement in operational efficiency and energy savings. These measures embody the company’s core philosophy of “enhancing efficiency through management.”
