Copper China 2026: A Global Hub for Industrial Synergy, Tech Innovation and Sustainable Development

Hosted jointly by RX Global and the China Nonferrous Metals Fabrication Industry Association, Copper China 2026 took place at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from July 8 to 10, co-located with Aluminium China, Lightweight Asia 2026, Magnesium China and Shanghai International Metal Recycling Expo to build an integrated industrial matrix covering the whole non-ferrous metal value chain. Spanning 60,000 sq.m., the five co-located expos hosted over 680 exhibitors. It drew 36,134 professional visitors, including 4,011 overseas attendees from 100+ countries. In total, 1,064 targeted business matching meetings were held: 864 domestic and over 200 international sessions. The concurrent High-End Application Forum for New Copper-Based Materials integrated product displays, technical seminars and one-on-one matchmaking to advance the copper industry’s high-end, intelligent and low-carbon transformation.

Product Showcase Platform: Full-Spectrum Industrial Solutions Across the Copper Value Chain

The five co-located expos covered the entire copper value chain across three core zones. Leading manufacturers showcased high-performance copper materials including high-conductivity alloys, ultra-thin copper foils and special insulated magnet wires, tailored to new energy, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing demands.

The intelligent equipment zone supplied full digital, eco-friendly production lines for smelting, rolling, heat treatment and precision testing, delivering turnkey upgrades for energy-saving and capacity expansion. Auxiliary exhibitors presented environmental treatment equipment, composite materials and precision consumables to complete the industry’s green transition supply chain.

The opening day alone welcomed 20,248 professionals. Delegations from Thailand, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and other major copper-consuming nations participated, facilitating seamless bilateral trade. Attendees covered copper processors, new energy vehicle manufacturers, energy storage operators, data centre developers and global traders, enabling precise upstream-to-downstream collaboration.

Technical Exchange Hub: Exploring New Industry Growth Tracks

The opening-day forum gathered specialists from international copper associations, research institutes and leading enterprises to discuss technological upgrades, market trends and emerging sectors. Discussions centred on six pivotal themes:

  • Motor winding copper material upgrades under dual-carbon goals
  • Mass production of ultra-thin high-performance magnet wires
  • Rising copper foil demand driven by lithium battery expansion
  • Optimised heat treatment processes for copper alloys
  • Copper material market growth across AI computing, new energy and semiconductors
  • Copper product technical trends for data centre infrastructure

Experts shared policy insights, market data and real-world cases to clarify long-term industry trends, helping manufacturers seize emerging opportunities and bridge the gap between lab research and commercial production.

International Business Matchmaking: Unblocking Industrial Supply-Demand Circulation Across the Whole Industrial Chain

Customized one-on-one business matching was a core show service. The organizing team pre-screened supply and demand data to pair relevant suppliers and buyers, arranging direct negotiations between procurement, technical and quality teams to cut transaction costs.

More than 1,064 matching sessions were completed during the three-day event, including 864 domestic procurement meetings and over 200 international sessions. The service effectively resolved widespread information asymmetry in the copper sector, allowing SMEs and new material developers to secure stable domestic and overseas partners. The platform delivered tangible outcomes including spot order signing and long-term industrial strategic cooperation, acting as a vital connector linking all industry stakeholders.

Copper China 2027: A New Chapter for Global Copper Collaboration

Copper China 2026 successfully concluded on July 10. RX CHINA extended sincere gratitude to all exhibitors, global visitors, industry associations and media partners for their full support. Building on the outstanding achievements and strong market reputation of this year’s edition, the 2027 show will run from July 7 to 9 at Halls E1-E7, Shanghai New International Expo Centre, alongside the four co-located specialized exhibitions. Booth reservations for 2027 are now open, with numerous leading manufacturers securing their stands in advance. Moving forward, RX China will expand global buyer outreach, enrich technical forum agendas and upgrade business matching services to deepen coverage of the full non-ferrous metal industrial chain.

Global Industrial Value: Driving High-Quality, Sustainable Development

Guided by the motto “In the Business of Building Businesses”, the five parallel expos deliver three core values:

  1. Industry showcase: Highlight China’s intelligent and green copper processing technologies to global stakeholders.
  2. R&D commercialization hub: Accelerate mass adoption of innovative technologies and processes.
  3. Cross-border trade channel: Support dual circulation within the non-ferrous metal industrial chain.

As a strategic fundamental material, copper industrial faces unprecedented growth amid dual-carbon policies, new energy expansion and digital transformation. RX CHINA will continue to integrate industrial resources, help domestic firms break technical barriers, expand emerging application markets and move up the global value chain to sustain the sector’s long-term high-quality growth.
